I Got a Camera!!!
Apr. 24th, 2007 04:07 pmWheee!
We bought a digital video camera today. It's a Sony, the type with a built in hard drive. It is teh pretty. I'm very excited to try it out, so maybe you'll see some silly 2x2 videos in the near future!
For those of you who are technically minded, its the DCR-SR200 with a 40 gig hard drive and 4.0 megapixal still camera, with a Pro DUO memory card slot.
Yes, we ended up spending about THREE TIMES what we went in there to spend, BUT... last time we bought a video camear, we skimped to get the good price, and it sucked. Same with our digital still camera. So, now we have a digital video camera that is very close to top of the line entry level camcorders, and a decent enough still camera (4.0 Megapixels vs. 2.0 Megapixels) It only has a 10x optical zoom, which is a bit lower than I would have liked, but I didn't want to pay an extra $200 just for that, and the model down had a 35x optical zoom, but was missing some of the features of the SR200, so... I made the sacrifice. 10x really should be sufficient for what I'll be doing with it anyway.
We bought an accesory kit that is basically a case and an extra battery, and a 4.0 gig memory card, so we're all set for our trip in June now.
The only drawback is I have to wait for the batteries to charge now before playing... and I don't really have much time for playing tonight, but I MUST! :oD
