Backyard update
Aug. 3rd, 2006 01:21 pmWe've bought yet more backyard accessories! We got some weather stripping to seal around the back door – yay! no more bugs inside! – and another extension chord, this one with a three plug outlet that you stake into the ground, designed for outdoor use in summer and winter, good score! We also picked up some waterproof sunscreen, to be safe, and some mothballs for the old trunk we moved to the basement (which, I know, is technically not the backyard, but it was the same trip.)
This we did on our break. At lunch, we went to Home Depot and bought some hose to extend the water run-off hose from the air conditioner, so it doesn't leave a puddle in an inconvenient place, and we picked up a backyard firepit thingy… it's a big bowl with a grill so you can cook on it, and has a mesh cage to enclose it, and comes with a poker. We bought four flag stone type brick things to go underneath it on the grass. Cool!
Now, we just have to hope it stops raining tonight so we can set it all up. And it better not rain tomorrow night, or there'll be some hell to pay, I tell you! We've invited friends over for a pool party / bbq and I don't want it spoiled!!

In other news:
My head is aching. Sinus pressure. I hate sinus pressure.
I really would like to be at home today. Almost didn't go to work because I woke not feeling very well, but went anyway.
One of my computers here at work is emitting a high pitched whine that is no doubt contributing to my headache. It is really annoying.
I've written a few hundred more words of Choices today. It's coming slowly, but it's coming.
And lastly, have a happy Thursday, everyone. *hugs* to you, where ever you are!!!!!
