Well, here he is! The Fox from Disney's Robin Hood. I think he turned out really good!
Though, I *am* a little jealous of teh hubby's tattoo, which is absolutely gorgeous:
Three fishes for three brothers. A friend of ours came up with the basic design idea, and the Tattoo artist made it all work, and added the scales and shading to the idea, and I think it came out just wonderfully. I really *really* like it.
I already have plans for a few more, eventually ;oD
So, the big question - did it hurt? Yes and no. When he first started doing the black line work, I was surprised how much it did hurt, but I quickly got used to it, and it wasn't that bad. Some places I could barely feel anything, but there were two spots that hurt every time he went over them. Kinda weird.
Mine went really quick, only about 30 minutes, while the hubby's took an hour, which was still quicker than I thought it would be! We got both of them done for $260 Canadian, which is pretty darned reasonable.
We went to Highway 2 Tattoo in Scarborough, and it was a really nice place; clean, hygenic, and everyone seemed to really be concerned with making sure everyone was getting the tattoo they wanted. I'd definately reccommend them. We were inked by Chris Fisher, who does some very fine work.
Now it's ten days of keeping it as dry as possible, and in three days we have to start applying moisturizing lotion a few times a day, and avoid direct sunlight for three weeks... and then it'll all be good.
