OMG I soooo totally LOVE the soundtrack to Marie Antionette!!!
I know, I heard it all when I watched the movie, but it's an entirely new experience to sit and listen to it!
I was in a bit of a down mood today, feeling sad and lonely and kinda left out of things...I must be pre-menstrual But now I'm home, and it's the weekend, and hell, I popped this soundtrack on, and this is totally weekend music!!! It's so up, and my mood is *SO* much better, and I'm just grooving along here...
The downside is it's in a winamp format that I haven't seen before and only plays in winamp, which means I can't just chuck it on a cd for my mp3 playing dvd player downstairs... but I'm sure there's a converter out there...
But I owe HUGE props to
agent_rouka for putting me on to this! Kudos of the day, darlin'!
And the rest of you, if you don't got it, get it!!!

*nods* I kicked myself for not getting on here earlier than I did...
Spent the other day history-geeking-out with
*grins* Hmm yes, I saw! I hang out in her LJ a fair bit, eat her snacks, watch her tv, read her comments *G*

I know!!!!! So many great groups that I haven't listened to in forever! It's sooo good to hear them again... The Vivaldi is awesome. I really love Vivaldi in general, which I first grew to love watching The Four Seasons. *nods* I've been listening to a classical station in the car on my commute lately (I get so tired of hearing the same thing over and over and over on the rock stations) and I've heard quite a bit of Vivaldi recently, actually... and Bach. The station I listen to has it bad for Bach. :o)
(btw, the strange person commenting on your journal wandered over from mal_inara, but, I put this in small text and parenthesis to emphasize the utter obviousness. ;) )
Heee
Yes, I saw you over there, in the fic rec's post. I accidentally ALSO rec'd

Ugh, the radio is not my friend. But soundtracks are, as is Sophia Coppola's taste in music, which just fits so well for MA. I should listen to classical music more often. At my job, in order to not go nuts, I have to listen to my iPod or Pandora radio all day, so I should perhaps fill it with some stuff to make me all cultured. Cultured=good! I love the use of the Vivaldi in the film; it's fun, but also really highlights the routine and repetitiousness of it all.
Heee
Yes, I saw you over there, in the fic rec's post. I accidentally ALSO rec'd isha_libran's How It Was before I saw it in your post :o)
Eh, no worries. That will just confirm awesomeness for those reading the post! Totally am drooling all over that post (and your fic, too! Is that gross sounding? I mean it in the highest of complimentary ways. :) ) I went a bit nuts with the reading, heh), due to the not being very active before getting a new journal in August. Plus, now I'm all inspired to finish the damn fic I started over the summer, so yay! to fic recs. :)
I have done the thing with the adding you as a friend because of the common ships and loves and friends and fic and generally coolosity. Hope that's cool! Friend back?

I love soundtracks too, particularly instrumentals, scores... great to write to... Radio sucks :o) I have to listen to music at work too, or my coworker would drive me to murder. *headdesk*

Only a little *G* but I'll take the drool, I'm not picky ;o)
And it's certainly cool that you friended me! :o) Friending you back the minute after I post this :oD

Date: 2006-12-16 11:46 am (UTC)Isn't it just the perfect music to start a day with? Or cook to? Or bounce about to? Or get prettified to before going out? Or listen to at work?
It's just soooo energizing, and the second CD, in turn, so soothing and perfect to reflect to and.. *sigh* "Tommib Help Buss" is one of my favorites, along with "Aphrodisiac" and "Fools Rush In" and.. Squee!
I adore that you love it! What's your favorite?? :D

Date: 2006-12-16 04:58 pm (UTC)My favourites - it's so hard to choose! The whole thing is lovely! But I think... Natural's Not In It is one, and I really love The Melody of a Fallen Tree, that's perfect contemplative driving music, in the car... watching the scenery go by, and lines on the pavement... Hong Kong Garden too... Really, there's something I like about all of them, not a single one I don't like!
And you know, you'll forever be wrapped up in my memory with this music too *G* since I came to it through you! Heee rouka!music *G*

Date: 2006-12-17 01:19 pm (UTC)All these songs just have such soul to it. Full of emotion of every color and shape. I think that's why it resonates to much. The exuberance of it all. It's not background music, it's.. blam! There! But not annoyingly so, enough o be able to ride on, mentally.
*babbly*
And you know, you'll forever be wrapped up in my memory with this music too *G* since I came to it through you! Heee rouka!music *G*
Could you BE any sweeter? :D Awww, now I'm... immortalized! Linked to awesome music! Euphoria!

Date: 2006-12-18 12:23 am (UTC):oD Exactly!!! Oh, I feel that too! Really, everytime I listen to it, there's a new song that becomes my favourite, each one has something perfect about it... even the hubby has been humming along because I've been playing it so often *G*
btw, how is Billy Talent II? I have the first one, which I liked, though I kinda found it too much to listen to the whole cd in one setting - it's all a little too similar, if you know what I mean. But I might pick up II if it's any good...
Look at this, you're my music advisor now ;o>
