I am right now literally trembling in uncomprehending anger and rage. I just cannot believe this.

I'm speechless with anger. I'm sitting here and I just... I know violence is no answer to violence, but I would happily beat this man within an inch of his fucking life right now. Except that I would never do that to his kids. But I fear for what his kids may grow up and become, under his influence.

I'm so mind boggled and filled with such despair right now, I can't even say.

I just... I'm crying, I can't even...

ETA: There's a rally going on in downtown Oshawa friday at 7:00. I'm having company, but I'm taking a couple hours out of the night to go anyway. Anyone else that is local(ish) I invite to come too.

People are such fucking assholes. And the worst part is it's not like this is an isolated incident or something unheard of.

With any luck they can add a hate crime charge to the assault. Or however that works; I'm not quite sure.

I don't like to be violent but, good Lord, if this isn't the kind of behavior that begs for a good, solid right cross then I don't know what is. I hope they prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law, and that both ladies involved are able to overcome both their physical and emotional injuries.

It was pretty good... a couple hundred people. The rain impacted on the numbers I think. But there were some good speakers, and it was really cool to see such a good mix of women and men, straight and gay couples, young and old all there. There was a petition going around that we signed for harsher hate crime laws. Maybe something good will come of that.
