Have now put the spare tire on with the handy dandy little jack and tire wrench and made an appointment for 9am to get it fixed. The ultimate irony is that the dealership here is right at the intersection where I got the staple in the tire initially!!!

Well, the appointment to get it patched has been made (I'm still holding out hope that it can get patched) for 9am and the spare tire is on (First time I've put a spare on) so, things are not as bleak, and GOD IN HEAVEN I hope things only get better, because if it gets worse--- I'm not even goint to contemplate that.
