I am *cold* this morning! *brrr*
Fight practice last night was great. Only four of us (me, the hubby, my squire brother W. and my knight C.), but we did some drills and worked on throwing some particular shots and I actually managed to use one of them in a real fight (even though my opponent blocked it) which is the first step.
My wrist was mostly fine. Only once did it hurt, when my hand was pressed back by my opponent's shield, but that also hurt my bicep and shoulder, so I don't think it was anything special.
My other arm was aching after I used the square sheild again. I need more muscles! It's such a completely different shield than my center boss that I don't have the proper muscles developed to use it as easily as my regular shield, but that will come with time.
I found out that my knight wrote in a reccomendation for my Scarlet Banner. It's nice to know he's supporting me behind the scenes :o)
I actually forgot to mention that when I was in court, and they were reading out the scroll, when they mentioned my big push on the bridge at Pikemen's Pleasure last spring, there was spontaneous applause and cheering, right in the middle *flushes* It's weird to know that so many people like you and think you deserve something when it's not always that apparent. *they like me, they really like me* *G*
Only a few bruises today, but I'm a bit tender in a couple of places. C. said that he was having to take a lot more arms and legs to get the kill rather than just hitting me in the head, which is a sign of improvement. I did this totally wicked sword block - we had exchanged several blows and I was moving to my right and he ended up on my left with a wide open shot to my head. I threw my sword up over the back of my head and caught the blow, it was awesome *G* All in all a good practice.
