Friday: We played the first game of our weird west roleplaying game tonight, and some of my friends even came in costume, dressed as their characters! Of course, I had to get dressed up too, and show off my new Civil War Colt Navy replica pistol to everyone.

Here it is! Isn't it shiny!

The game was fun, we had a quickdraw contest in a small town. I unfortunately didn't win - I had my gun shot out of my hand by my brother-in-law (at least he went on to win the contest). After the quickdraw contest we had to play poker and one of our posse had to win the tournament in order to get invited to the private, high stakes game. I did well for most of the game, but eventually lost... to my brother-in-law. Huh. But it was a ton of fun and we ended up playing into the wee hours of the morning.

Afterward, I chatted on line for a while and finally went to bed at 4am, which meant I'd been up for 25 hours straight.

Saturday: Woke up after 5 hours of sleep. Watched some Veronica Mars, went out shopping for new pillows and new pants for the hubby, and he also got Season 8 of the Simpsons on DVD. Bought a whole bunch of wooden beads at the dollar store, with plans to make our own necklaces. We'll go to Michaels to get metal spacers and clasps tomorrow.

Headed out to our friends' new place up in Lindsay. Nice house! It's an older house and has all kinds of uneven floors, but they're fixing it up really nice. Had bbq chicken, salad, and potatos and veggies for dinner, and home made apple pie with Kawartha dairy vanilla icecream for dessert.

After dinner we played Munchkin. Hubby won the first game, I won the second. By then, it was time to drive the hour home - in the rain in the dark, blarg - and pretty much went to bed when we got home.

Sunday: Slept in a bit later today, but not much. Chatted on line for a while, then showered and headed out to Michaels. Ran into an old friend we haven't seen in a long while and caught up with him. Finally have a number for him. I bought some frames for my autographs, and then we hit the bead section and got all kinds of stuff to make necklaces.

After Michaels we hit the Storage Solutions place, but got nothing there. Then to Home Sense or Home Outfitters or something like that, and got two new weird fish for the bathroom (we have a weird fish thing going on). Then we went to the other home store, which is more linen related and such, but bought nothing there. Then we hit Jysk, and I got 20 metres of unbleached cotton for $32, and a nylon string guitar for $25 and probably something else that i'm forgetting now...

After that, we felt we'd spent enough money, so we skipped Winners and headed to Williams for some hot chocolate (it was raining you see). It was very very good hot chocolate, and when we were done the sun came out just long enough for us to get ot the car and load up our purchases.

We swung by Value Village to drop some stuff off in the donation box, and did a walk through. They had a really cool couch frame, wooden and very rustic that would have been perfect for the porch, but it was already sold. We did get a really nice duvet cover that is a pretty light plaid with matching pillow cases and throw pillow, and a whole bunch of other pillow cases, including a Winnie the Pooh, and pale orange or peach one with cherry blossoms - pretty!

We finally came home and watched some Simpsons and made our necklaces. I made four and the hubby made three. Here's the four that I made:

Arent' they pretty? You can probably sense a general theme here, colour wise. Three out of four have my favourite colour! *G*

We watched Stargate Atlantis and SG1 - Morena was on again!! In some leather gear - and I noticed she's not wearing the cool contacts anymore... she'd mentioned at her Q&A that they had really bothered her eyes, so I guess they decided to go without them. They briefly made them flash the pretty orangey colour but that was it... Nice to see her again. Both eps were two parters, so I'll have to see next week's eps for the exciting conclusion! This episode is the one she was talking about in her Q&A when asked about green screen acting, one with a Dragon!

Came upstairs to chat and lost [livejournal.com profile] terimaru, most likely to the bad storms in the area. Chatted with [livejournal.com profile] coquillagement briefly, which was nice, and then took some pictures and did this update.

Now,I'm overdue for bed...

The montreal trip Post is coming soon, with a few pictures... I just need to sit down and write it up.

On the Veronica Mars front, Im well into season 2. Not enjoying them quite as much as I did the first season. Missed Wallace in the beginning, and I'm not a fan of the Veronica/Duncan relationship. Hurry up and get back with Logan already!

LOST premiers October 4th, which I'm looking forward to, and Battlestar Galactica starts up again October 6th, so lots of good TV to look forward to. I imagine that season 3 of VM is coming too.

I've also got Deadwood and Gilmour Girls that a friend gave me to watch. Lots of TV!!!

Hope you all had a fine weekend... Tomorrow, Monday. Work and Fight Practice...
