Well, since my flist didn't reply to any of my comments while I was away *pouts*, or post promised feedback (which, at this point, I guess I will no longer hold you to) *pouts* it appears that I'll just have to make my own entertainment (fics aside, which were very entertaining).
The weekend was more fun than I had originally anticipated. The drive up north went by quickly, there was fighting, even though it was cold, and the asthma didn't act up, so that was good. I did block a thrust from a seven and a half foot pole arm weilded by a six and a half foot guy with what essentially amounts to my fist, which then cocked said fist backwards and hurt my wrist (to the point that I thought I might have actually broken it) so stopped fighting at that point. I then got to follow her Highness around and stand in Court behind her, which made me very close for when my name was called and I was given the Award of the Scarlet Banner, an award that recognized my fighting. I was very pleased and happy and proud to receive it (and very glad I had gone to the event! *G*) I didn't really get to socialize with anyone unfortunately, and there was some mix up with dinner so we didn't get to eat with friends... and since my Knight didn't go to the event (or his mother) we decided just to go home that night, another 4 hour drive, but it meant that we'd be home to sleep in our own bed (with no dogs) and have some time today to relax, which we did by watching a few episodes of SG1 on the couch together until we had to go to our friend's place in Lindsay for dinner and to work on the hubby's new helm. Dinner and conversation was very lovely and relaxing, and now I'm home, and just about ready for bed.
