The Holiday is Over...

Boy, nothing reminds you more of all the little things you find annoying at work than coming back to it after a week off *wry grin*

To ease the pain of the first day back to work, the spousal unit and I ate crappy McDonalds for dinner (yay diet :o/ ) and then we went to wreak vengeance upon our friends with sticks! Unfortunately, I received more blows than I dealt this evening, and will thus have to try harder at slaying my foes next week.
Coincidentally, there was someone annoying at fight practice too. A. is the kind of guy who comes out, gets a sword and a shield, talks a lot of crap, and always has an excuse why he can't get into armour and fight. A. has bad knees. He wears a knee brace. He's never going to be able to fight, but he wants *TO BELONG*... gah... and he's always ready with a 'when we do this' and 'when we do that' and he's got no frame of reference, no shared experience... *its driving me NUTS* But, we're a friendly society, blah blah blah....
The Hyperwriteosis (commonly known as writer's block) is still with me. :o/ I've missed last week's ff_friday challenge, and this week's big_damn_quests challenge... crap. And with my week taken up with getting these so called 'rush' books out, I won't have much time to write, anyway.
*sigh*
On the plus side, I love my wife more and more everyday...
Hmmm and to make something in this post related to firefly - today I wore my red ringer T with Serenity screen printed on it in blue/black.... It's plain, but I like it.
Hrmm also seem to have discovered that I sewed my gorram independent's patch on my coat upside down. I *knew* I shoulda checked out the the beginning of the pilot myself... *grumble grumble* Now for re-sewing it on the right way...
I'm off to bed now. Good night everyone! I hope to dream... if anyone has any interesting dreams tonight, let me know about them... *g* yes, even *those* dreams with Mal tied to the bed and a giant jar of chocolate spread, you know the one where... er, ah... *cough, cough* ;o>
