Apr. 10th, 2006 12:39 pmIt is very possible that I am becoming ill.
Besides the gastronomical distress I am suffering after dinner at my mother-in-law's, I am chilled and sinus-y. Yuck.
Amazingly Stupid: Saturday, the Spousal Unit and I were heading to an SCA event a couple hours away. We called to see if the bro-in-law wanted to come, but he said he had plans. So, we packed up the car, and were ready to go when we got a call from the bro-in-law saying he'd changed his plans, yes he'd like to come. As the car was pretty full, I unlocked the house and flung wide the door to take in our armour from out of the trunk. But first we decided to rearrange stuff to see if there was enough room to fit the bro-in-law in..."Dont let me forget to lock up the door again," I said to the Spousal Unit (I'm sure you can see where this story is headed) So, we rearrange stuff so there's enough room for the bro-in-law, we hop in the car, and away we go at 10:40 am... on the way home, at 8:10 pm, a security company's car on the highway triggers a memory in the Spousal Unit. "Did you remember to lock the door?" he says. "No," says I, with growing dread. "I thought you'd gone up and locked it." "No," says he. "Oh shit," says I. So, wonder that cell phones are, we called my father and had him go over and close the door, because, not only was it unlocked, but it was wide open - all. day. long. I did the last hour home in about 35 minutes, tense and anxious. Fortunately, nothing was disturbed, and it's a happy ending. But it could have been *so* much worse. Needless to say, I'm paranoid about locking the door now *G*
Writing: I was in the writing zone yesterday, but got interrupted when we had to go the the mother-in-law's for my Spousal Unit's birthday dinner. Sadly, today I have yet to reclaim the zone, and things are very slow going. I am not satisfied with my first idea for
agent_rouka's prompt challenge, and have decided to think of something better. I have much to write at the present.
agent_rouka's challenge,
goldy_dollar's challenge, my next part of the NES with
taramonk, this week's challenge for
ff_friday, and this week's challenge for
big_damn_quests, not to mention getting Choices done... that's quite a bit, really. Only two of them have hard deadlines though, fortunately. Must get that creativity going again!
T-Shirt: Today's t-shirt is my Serenity logo shirt... which I like more and more each time I wear it. I delivered the two shirts on saturday that my friend had commissioned. She seemed pleased. I was less than happy with the white on the red shirt... it's looking pinkish, which tickles me not at all.
Movies: Watched two stupid movies this weekend, Van Wilder and Eurotrip. Both were actually better than I had expected, but still not good enough to be called good. Both had some memorable scenes, particularly the eclair scene in Van Wilder (ewwww) but I'm glad I didn't pay cashy money to see them.
Fluff: I am just not a fluffy person. Fluff is very, very difficult for me. Must think fluffly thoughts... think fluffly thoughts...
