I've been bad today....
Fight Practice: Every week, on Mondays, I am supposed to go to my local practice and hit people with sticks. I was planning on going tonight, sorta... the Hubby wasn't going, and that always makes it harder for me to go, and after a *third* day of these damned headaches that have been plaguing me, I also didn't want to go. Well, I ended up having far too much fun LJ-ing with agent_rouka to leave my computer, and I even managed to write something while I did - more on that later - So, I didn't go. Which means probably it was a small practice because the Hubby didn't go either, and neither did another friend. However, I will not feel the guilt. I have given myself permission to miss these meetings when I want to without feeling responsible for it, so... No guilt. Just happy squeeing at the LJ fun! yay!
In productive news:
Writing: I wrote today! I wrote for FF_Friday challenge 114 - letters and then when I got home tonight (gasp! Yes, I actually wrote something at home!) I wrote for the first challenge in Big_Damn_Quests. Not a huge number of words, but I'm pleased enough with both of them, and I've plans for a sequel to the 'letters' one too...
Prompt: Ooooh! Squee! I have a new prompt challenge to write! Joy!
T-Shirt: Today's t-shirt is my black shirt with the blue sun logo in White (oooh creative, ain't it) I'm not going to attach any superstitious meaning to writing well and wearing this shirt however, or I'll never be able to write anything again if I'm not wearing it.... Damn! Why did I even let that thought enter my mind!!!
Slither: Saw Slither on sunday, and I quite liked it... I like horror movies, and though this wasn't really a horror movie perse, it was a lot of fun. And I *loved* watching Nathan up there on the big screen again... *sighs*... he is just sooo tastey to watch.. yum!!
Dinner: Was chicken wings, which, thankfully, did not slice me open this week. Last week there was a sharp wing bone incident, and there was cussin' and bleedin'. No drama this week fortunately. I had a Hero Certified Burger again on Saturday (mustn't make that a habit) and enjoyed it thoroughly again. If this place had been around when I was a kid, I'dve blown my allowance on it every week, I can tell you.
Music: My latest writing music (that is, music I like to write to) is the soundtrack to Children of Dune by Brian Tyler... Some great stuff, much of which really fits the tone of what I want, some sad, melancholy stuff, some uplifting heroic stuff, some dangerous evil stuff, some heartfelt themes, just a lot of good emotion-generating stuff that I can apply to my writing. So, that's my rec for the day.
